Sheet Metal Progressine Die
This punch showcases our machining and welding capabilities. The punch is CNC milled using MasterCAM. Then the punch is heated to 250° and the cutting edge is welded with Stellite. The welded edge is then CNC machined again producing a sharp cutting edge. This locating block is CNC milled from 304 stainless steel using MasterCAM. We have milled 100's of these styles of locating block for one of our automotive customers. The containment cavity, from one of our automotive customers, was CNC milled from a SolidWorks file that we translated in MasterCAM . The material of the containment cavity is 1018 steel. This die component is for another of our customers that make parts for the automotive industry. The die is CNC machined from A2 steel and the die cavities are wire EDM. The gauge is machined from aluminum for our customer that makes automotive components. MMI can make a full line of you favorite sheet metal art.
