Welding and Fabrication

The Morehead Machining welding and fabrication department can weld components to your specifications. In house we braze, TIG, MIG, spray ARC and ARC weld. We regularly weld and machine exotic metals like Stellite to die edges for long die life. Our newest addition to the welding and fabrication area is our Dynatorch CNC plasma cutter, which has the capability to cut up to 1" plate.

Dynatorch CNC Plasma Cutter:

Our CNC controlled plasma cutter is capable of cutting a 5 foot by 10 foot sheet of steel up to 1" thick. We can cut any 2-D shape from your DXF or DWG file or any other print.

Miller MIG, TIG and ARC welders:

Morehead Machining carries a full line of welding equipment and certified welders. We routinely weld aluminum, mild steels and tool steels. We also weld and machine Stellite to punch and dies for long tool life.

Scotchman Ironworker:

Our 50 ton ironworker is used for punching, shearing and bending steel and other materials in our welding and fabrication department. We can punch up to 1 1/4" holes and shear up to 3/4" thick steel.
